Green Tea
Green tea is believed to be an immune system booster, an anti-viral and it also has anti-bacterial properties. It can be taken in decaffinated capsule form and this is more potent than normal tea consumption.
Polyphenols called catechins are the antioxidant compounds found in tea that confer its well-known health benefits. They’re present in all types of true tea (from the plant Camellia sinensis). (ASIDE: Studies reveal that catechins from the green tea plant, Camellia sinensis, can inhibit cancer cell activity and stimulate production of immune-strengthening enzymes.) A recent study from Egypt suggests that drinking green tea does enhance the effects of antibiotics, even against drug-resistant bacteria and superbugs.
